You may not believe it when getting back to basics of the food you eat how much weight you stand to lose without dieting. For me it is not all about following any type of meal plan or eating certain foods, for me it is about eating fruits and vegetables that is helping me reduce my waistline and of course exercise. When I say exercise, I am not speaking of going to the gym I am talking about something most of us do every day and that is walking. When I say walking that is exactly what I mean is doing something that most are already doing daily, and it has nothing to do with power walking either. My daily routine consists of most of the days a week is get up and work on the computer doing a little research to jump start my day. Listen to the weather, go down stairs and walk on the treadmill for thirty minutes, take my American Bull Dog around the neighborhood for about 20-30 minutes depending on how many times he may need to water the grass or whatever may be in his way at the time spotting, and then I sit down and eat my breakfast i.e. toast, bread, bowel of cereal, fruit, protein drink powered with fruits and vegetable and all of that is based upon what I may want to eat that morning without any type of plan or thought process involved. I just do it. For the rest of the day depends on what needs to get done. Other words I do not live off any schedule or plans and I must admit I make up a to do list and never stay on point because whatever needs to get done I will jump on it and of course factor in those un-planned events that always will pop up in your life that need to happen right now. Getting back to the foods I am eating now is not something I stick to and more or less what my body is asking for me to give it and that is all and the weight is coming off without eating or exercising to any limits most of the junk food I do not even have the need to eat it the way I use to and for me that is the key. So the moral of this story is live your life to the fullest and do the things you love to do and that of course something that is legal and keeping you out of trouble and let your body have what it want and not what you think you need to put inside of it that is not good for you in the first place. Please do not forget to drink plenty of water which is another must I do each day.
Ford vs Kavanaugh
From my recollection coming into the military at the age of 20 years of age they did a background investigation on my pass history of behavior and the same was done when being put in for my secret clearance and if anything was found in my record that would denied me of getting in the military and getting a secret clearance no matter what my age would have been if they found something in my records to prevent me from being qualified from either of these events would have been used against me and I would not have gotten them. Why should this be any difference having this man placed in a permanent position for thirty years or more should be put through this procedure? Why should I believe Mrs. Ford testimony that he did what she is claiming that he and another person did to her while in high school? My thoughts on that is what you did when you were young and at an age of knowing right from wrong should and will be used against you later in your adult life for life and it should be because of that is the norm for everyone and we should not let any one else abuse this right. They used it against me why not him-Kavanaugh? Beside the information that I keep hearing about him that he was a heavy drinker an that age and I really do not know anything about his financial situation and the status of his parent and at the same time it appears to me that he thought that he was untouchable and he would move up through the food chain without any problem and no worries about what he had done to others while moving up that food chain. I am speaking from experience knowing people just like he was with them making it to the top and their attitudes toward others gotten even worst as they got higher in their professions thinking they were unstoppable until someone pulled the plug and placed them in the spot light allowing us to know what they had done to others in getting where they are at today. What Ford is doing I commend her on it and just by listening to part of her events of what happen I believe just by reading her facial expressions and seeing her pains what she endured doing that event. What make it even more convincing for me is when she said that the reason she did not pursue reporting him to the authority is when she stated that he did not get the chance to rape her that she was happy and thankful for that and she knew people would not more than likely believe her anyway speak loudly for me because I not in that type of situation and others with the outcome in my favor I thought that it would be best just to let it go without reporting event whatever that may have been at the time. What she in my opinion now is doing is pointing out to our system that you are getting ready to place a person of authority in a position and later may not be the best candidate for the position and for our system to vote wisely and not throwing just anyone in that position just because the President think he is more qualified to do the job which we now are seeing the President himself was a mistake of being in his position. Put the vote in the hands of the people and leave politic out of the equation. That is my point of view what is yours? There are no right or wrong answer just your opinion and everyone have the right to their opinions.
One Million Reasons
This for me in viewing the movie brought back memories and questions I always to this date asking the question why people take their lives knowing the mess they are leaving for their love ones. Not only that we have people fighting to keep what some are giving up. Back in the day when my brother took his life I live with the search of trying to figure out the why answer and at the same time doing that period I was dealing with depression and needed answer like now and being that I am a veteran of the military I still remember when that happen and the things I was going through with my issues and searching for answer where I would not end up doing the same thing I called and made an appointment with my primary provider and thought people at the hospital would take it very seriously with my call for help and someone would speak with me immediately to find out what was going on with me only to find out that it was the norm and no one really care and that individual was more interested in getting an appointment set up for me which was days down the road something like 5-10 before I was able to seek help from a medical physician know the seriousness of what I was in my mind going through and you put me on a waiting period in order for me to get help to his date is unthinkable and that is what they done for me or the lack of. Being that this was the first time I was aware of me having these issues right off the bat the first thing after getting an appointment for me so far out led me to believe what I was going through was normal and everyone experiencing depression was not a problem and could be dealt with, without me harming myself and I let it be at that and no knowing that was not the case and I could have fell into deep depression and did the same as my brother did by taking his life as well. Lucky for me that was not the case and I made it to my appointment and my doctor took great care of me. I went through a battle of question with my doctor of answering question what was going on in my life and why I was feeling depressed and I let him know that I just had lost my brother to depression and I did not want to end up the same way having a family I loved dearly and wanted to get better soon. To this date I do not think he ever gave me medication for my situation and he may have I just do not remember of having to take medication for my situation. Then the question I do remember asking him to deal with my brother of why or what reason he had in taking his life. He made it very clear to me that when a person cannot see away out and is hurting and hurting badly then the next step is to end it all even though he was seeking help from counselors and they still were not able to give him the help he needed and the end result was to take his life and he did and with that explanation I went to work on getting better quickly because I did not want my family to have to go through what my family was going through of his passing. I got better and would have to face this situation again and each time I was able to beat it in getting better and the working is not over yet and I am dealing with it better and keeping it under control with my support defense that is wonderful and I will continue in using it to help me keep it under control and now living a very happy life with my family. Just like the TV Show Million Reasons that is not explained to us by other actions and why they do what they do is behind what they do is a mystery and some of us think we know the why and really do not. At the same time their while going through whatever they are going through are showing signs that something is wrong and so time we see them and most we never thought that it could and would be possible for that to happen and it do. So with that in mind let us do our best to be aware and read the signals and find away to get them help before tragedy strikes. I will be sharing more light on this subject because I know first hand what it is like and how I was able to get it under control and by sharing I hope it will help to save lives in the event of others reading this information.
HAVE A WEIGHT PROBLEM
Pass this one on to the next people as well as yourself if you are having problems with your weight and take if from me you do not have to go on a diet. Cut back on fatty foods and fast food restaurants and that will change for you over time. For me I have been struggling with my weight even while being in the military and on long deployments and the weight would always follow me. Then after leaving the military and getting an office job working all sorts of hours did not help one bit while I looked at weight getting up to 250 pounds and growing every day. Then when I retired I found myself being very busy all of the time working on different projects around the house and being an Amazon/EBAY seller and hunting down bargains to resell and not really thinking about eating and I started walking to keep from laying on the couch from falling asleep, I then took up walking on the tread mill at least two to three times a day plus I have an American Bull Dog who loves to walk and all of a sudden that became the way of life for me is doing a lot of walking without even thinking about it. Of course, I did a lot of walking while I was working and never lost any weight no matter how many times I would walk up and down the hallways while on my breaks nothing was happening for me. Even while I first started doing so after leaving work for good. Then over the course of me walking every day and not thinking about what I was doing for myself I began to start feeling good about myself and continuing to walk without the thought of losing any weight in do so and all of a sudden the weight started pouring off me and the more I dropped the weight the better I felt and the more weight I lost. Then one morning I sat a goal to get down to my idea weight for my age and height of 189 pounds and at the time I was weighing in at 220-230 pounds and I would weigh myself every Saturday morning right after getting out of bed along with checking my blood pressure and glucose level everything was getting better with improvements each week. Then as you know you will hit that point where your weight seem like nothing is happening and then one week from the above numbers to now I am weighting in at 194.4 pounds which mean I still have 5.4 pounds to get to my idea weight and I have not changed any of my eating habit or trying to lose it and is letting it happen naturally. Long story short, start doing what you like doing that will bring healthy changes to your health and cutting out the fatty foods you too will start to see changes in your health and by doing that you will notice bad habit will began to move out of your life along with dieting. Here to your health.
Retirement and Health
Retirement for me is nice giving me time to catch up on the things I was not able to do while working full time. I am finding out now is the time to keep up with the house work around the home and for me to have the energy to do all this my body need to stay in tune by getting up in the morning and walking first thing in with my pet Bruno which we do every morning when possible. Sometime before the walk I will go do stairs and walk for thirty minutes on the treadmill. Then for the rest of the day I am ready to tackle anything of the day. Exercise is a must for you to keep up all the activities needed for you to stay active. No gym is needed for you staying in shape and all you need to do is do something physical at least thirty minutes a day for you to build up the need in doing more in the physical world of fitness. Do it and be happy and out of the hospital.
Enjoying Retirement
On the last blog I wrote dealing with staying busy with doing something proactive and that is benefiting you now and in the future is a plus for your longevity. Something I am working on this year is adding reading into my lifestyle because last year for the year of 2017 dealing with issues with Amazon and EBAY eat up my entire years doing a lot of work. This year I will still be using both of those platforms and being in the relax mode while doing so. I will be outsourcing the business for someone else to do the heavy lifting for me while I sit back and enjoy the finer things of life. Does this mean I will be doing nothing and only sitting on my behind? Farther from the truth and by hiring out the work mean I will now have more time to spend with family and friends by doing those things I love doing is walking and doing some form of exercising to stay in shape and to lose a couple of unwanted pounds. Going to movies, working around the house, researching for more business opportunities, going shopping, hiking, walking my pets and I could go on and on for days listing the different activities I will be engage in doing while the work of my businesses is still being taking care and producing profits. For me that is the name of the game. When you get to be my age and mid ways of my life it is time to start to enjoy the finer things of life. The word couch potatoes is not in my vocabulary because while having fun I am still productive and living my life the way I chose to live it and
Staying Busy
Staying busy with your new career of retirement. Retirement is not all about sitting in front of the TV or fishing for the next 6-12 months and expecting to be happy and healthy for the rest of your life. For some that just maybe the case but for others like myself that is not the case. For my I am the type who loves staying busy doing things around the house and to walk my pet Bull Dog for morning and evening walks which for the most part is good for both of us meaning my pet Bruno. He loves it as much as I do and for my waistline also. I stayed in the workforce for many years because I am a worker who worked staying at the age of six working on the farm with my family until the age of 21 and joining the US Army for 22 years. I was a scout meaning in combat we were the first one in and the last one out in the fighting process and I got the opportunity back in 1991 of going off to war and putting those skill to work for me and my crew. Being in combat arms mean you are a very busy person working on different skill sets and dealing with a lot of people and living in the woods most of the time. The day I hanged up the uniform did not mean for me that was not the end of staying active and that is what I did by work three jobs and going to school full time. That was fun or not. Now that I am fully retired does not in way form or fashion that it is time for me to slow done and let my health start declining on me. That is the time when you step it up another knot and beginner working even harder is staying in shape and even sometime that will also fail you in ways that you could never imagine. Meaning that all the wonderful things I done in the military of training hard and being totally demanding on my body finally took it toll later in my life and things started health wise started to affect me physically and mentally and that is why staying busy in life doing productive things will help keep you on your feet.
Retirement
I stayed on the work force for 15 years because I had no ideal what to do after the life of work. I would listen to some that would say I am going fishing for six months straight and I found out the things that use to be a lot of fun while still working seem like this would keep you business for the rest of your life found out that even doing it now you will get tired of doing it. Or I will travel the world. Where would you get the money for the rest of your life to continue to do that? I will continue to be busy doing the things I love doing and make money at the same time of selling on Amazon and EBAY. Well just selling items around the house and being happen doing so will cost you money because your buyer already has enough junk and do not need you’re. Now what? For you to continue doing this and making your buyers happy and wanting to buy more, then you need supplies having products that you will be able to sell and make real money at the same time. Now you are making money and your buyers are happy and now you are busy working for yourself and your buyers who some are complaining because the item you sold them is not as described. Now you have created a nightmare for yourself in catering to someone else need and now you have another job. The above story is what I have experienced and now know there is a better way to live after the workforce and that is to have a plan and some schedules of things to do that is making an enormous difference in my life and now I am happy and fulfilled. More on this subject I will be writing about of some to the things I have done and is doing in making my life worthwhile
My First Blog
This is my first blog and in the one that will be coming will be dealing with the normal or un-normal issues that we are faced with daily. For the most having in my opinion how we can fix or be able to deal with them. I will bring up areas that I struggle with in the past and the one that I am dealing with now. Issues dealing with veteran’s benefits and program they will be able to seek out for answers. For me to do something like this was for me un-heard of due to the simple fact why start a blog and have nothing to really talk about. What can I talk about. I since answered that question by saying everything that is going on in the world today and how I am dealing with the stressful issue that are pledging all of us. I want to be a voice and not only to be a voice and someone that will be able lend a helping hand of information that I am researching that maybe of help to others. One thing about my blog will be a sharing of information that will be useful for me and others. If you are like me in trying to find ways to earn a decent living working at home that information will be provided to you through different links and by doing so some of them mean that I will be getting a kickback out of them and the same can and will apply for you to be doing the same. It will be information that will and can change your life and something that you can be doing in keeping you proactive instead of reactive to many of the situation you are dealing with. Now that you have a little understanding of what you will be receiving when reading materials from this site and in the next blog I will be sharing information about me and the things I have been doing and will be doing in the future that I aid in my life of value and peace of mind for me and family.
